How FLOR Works

How Do Carpet Tiles Work?

Our sustainably manufactured carpet tiles come in squares that connect to each other with adhesive FLORdots™ to make up an area rug of any size, color, or shape.

FLOR rugs are designed to spark your creativity. Combine the tiles as they come or order custom cuts to create unique shapes and designs to build the perfect area rug for any space.

How to Install Your FLOR Area Rug

Installing carpet tiles is easy with just two components—carpet tiles and FLORdots. It only takes one person to put together a FLOR rug. Here’s how:

  • Give your floor a quick clean before you start. Your FLOR area rug can be assembled on almost any clean and smooth floor type, including concrete, laminate, and hardwood.
  • See the direction arrows on the back of each tile for a guide on the recommended placement of your rug. FLOR provides a recommended placement specific to your rug design, but you can arrange carpet tiles however you like.
  • Using the included FLORdots, connect your carpet tiles to each other—not the floor underneath. Place each dot sticky side up, then adhere the tile to its neighbor.

How to Clean and Maintain FLOR Carpet Tiles

Thanks to our tile design, it’s easy to clean or replace just one section of the rug as needed, rather than cleaning or replacing the entire rug. Simply pick up an individual tile to spot-clean or replace.

For more detailed care and maintenance information, refer to our Carpet Tile Cleaning and Maintenance Guide.
