Great concept but expensive fail

I bought bone color and black to make a striped rug. The concept of removing a tile to clean it is great with kids and a dog but in reality, the tiles were more likely to get dingy all over from foot traffic rather than spotted by food/liquids. It's unrealistic to lift and clean a whole 10x 13 ft. ...

I'm sorry to say that I am rather disappointed in this purchase. I'll keep it because I need it. I ordered In The Deep - Slate in half sections as a border around my current "In the Deep II - Slate/Titanium" which had been discontinued...but I wanted to enlarge the carpet. The quality of this In The Deep - Slate is very poor compared to what I already have: the fibers are thinner and lower whereas my "In The Deep II - Slate/Titanium" is really thick and plush. I am so glad that I only ordered enough as a border and didn't decide to do a fresh new rug. I am genuinely sad over this. FLOR...what has happened to your quality? This is my 4th FLOR purchase, but it's been 7 year since my last one...and this might be my final purchase from you. I'm so sad.

All of the FLOR tiles are great except for one thing... we have a Great Pyrenees dog with long white fur. It is very hard to vacuum the fur out of In The Deep and Made You Look tiles. I'd love to know if FLOR knows of tiles to which dog fur doesn't cling?

I placed the tiles as an area rug. First of all, the tiles shed a GREAT deal! Secondly, they did not align properly. What I mean is the tiles were not evenly measured and cut in the factory. The result was that I wound up fitting two or three sides close but the fourth side was slightly gapped. I kept trying different ways to get four tiles to fit tightly and without spaces but never succeeded. Is this why they were on sale? Or is it just Quality Control? Disappointed as this is not my first purchase. I made a purchase when the company was located in the States…….

No more Flor for me.

I actually changed my order and received In The Deep in Slate rather than in Sunny. It's a great anchoring color, and I like the texture. It was easy to cut to fit a room that had a layout challenge (a corner bump out that precluded using a rectangular rug). I was concerned about shedding after reading reviews, but after installing in and vacuuming it thoroughly, it sheds very, very little.

I have had amazing experiences with Flor and hopes to repeat that. This slightly fluffy rug is not living up to it. I pointed all the arrows toward the window for a monolithic install as directed. It's been vacuumed. So sad. My other rug looks amazing so it's not that I don't know how to put one together. See photos

It looks nice enough I suppose but the juice was definitely not worth the squeeze for me. If I had extremely specific needs when it came to rug design I think this would have probably still been a good choice, but I don't so it isn't. Definitely wouldn't buy again.

Verified Reply - FLORA robotic vacuum is acceptable. Once a week, you should use an upright vacuum for a deeper cleaning.

Verified Reply - FLORFLOR can be installed in virtually any indoor area that has a clean, hard, dry surface. FLOR should NOT be installed over carpeting or padding*, floors with hand painted or vintage varnish finish, unfinished waxed floors or outdoors. FLOR may be installed over smooth, fully-cured (minimum of 90 days) concrete floors. If your room has an unfinished, waxed, vintage varnish, or solvent sealed floor we do not recommend installing FLOR, as FLOR may cause some discoloration or staining of the floor. If you're unsure if FLOR will work for your surface, call Customer Care at 866.952.4093. * FLOR has a firm, but flexible backing. Installation of FLOR over a soft subfloor or existing carpeting or rugs will cause the tiles to separate when weight is applied to the surface

It will say "Sample With Swatches," click on that and it will bring up all the sample colors for you to choose for that specific style.
