Impossible to Vacuum

The carpet is impossible to vacuum. Everything sticks to it, like velcro. I have to get on my hands and knees and use just the hose and go over it inch by inch. Even then stuff still sticks. It's such a pain. Such a pain. We've had them for about a year and they're in great shape, and look grea...

Wasn't sure about how this would work since. I've been wanting different rugs that I've already have in living room and basement. They don't have no longer so. This is my third Flor rug, and I agree with some of the other reviews that everything sticks to it. I find that to be a good thing, as the surrounding wood floor stays clean and a quick vacuum makes the rug look new. I've found putting a little pressure on the vacuum head gets everything up. This rug comes in super fun colors, and doesn't break the bank!

We're really pleased with our rug. Of course, our 120 year old house -- no square rooms -- so getting it to be wall to wall involved quite a bit of cutting. (Also, we ignored the instructions on how to do wall-to-wall because our file cabinets and big pieces of furniture were in the middle. Paid for that on our knees.) Its amazing how different the tiles look when you stagger the lines from one direction to the next. But I went from an ancient, 1930s floral rug in dark marroon and sage flowers -- with a pandemic hole in it from rubbing my feet in stress -- to this upcycle, and I love how the room seems so much brighter.

I usually hate stripes, but love the lines here!

lots of inconsistent colors, meaning some are overall very much lighter than others. I understand that it is a striped pattern with many different colors, but some just look much lighter so they stand out more

I used the Upcycle Lime Flor tiles as my entryway rug. I previously had a solid color rug made of Flor tiles but it showed every speck of dirt. This pattern hides the dirt from dogs and toddlers but looks great while doing it.

I would like to purchase 25 tiles and create a circular carpet. How difficult is it to cut the tiles? Or is the that the service provided under "add cuts"?

Verified Reply - FLORTRIMMING CARPET TILES HOW TO TRIM YOUR CARPET TILES Often it’s necessary to trim carpet tiles for your design, specifically with a wall-to-wall floorcoverings where tiles align with the wall. Area rugs and runners may require trimming for design customizations. 1. You’ll need a metal straight edge or a sharp utility knife. 2. Use the metal edge to guide the knife and score (create a cut groove) the back of the carpet tile a few times to get a clean cut. 3. You can also utilize our Cutting Services and we’ll do all the work for you. Additional information and pricing on cuts can be found on each product page or by calling 866.952.4093 to learn more.

I see more than just a few negative comments about how this particular carpet (Upcycle) seems to attract dirt/lint, etc, and that even a good vacuuming wont remove it. People wind up hand-picking lint off of it. I am considering it for a medical office waiting room, because i like the colors. What do you have to say about these comments? The last thing I want to install is a carpet that is high maintenance or just looks dirty all the time. Is there a different carpet I should consider if i like some color, want it to stand up to alot of foot traffic and dont want a maintenance night mare? Your honest response would be appreciated. Thank you!

Looking to get the Upcycle in teal for a basement teen room. Can this go on a leveled concrete floor? Will it at all be soft on the feet? Looking for a low pile but also want it to be comfortable. All input would be helpful!

Verified Reply - FLORUpcycle is a thinner tile but has a soft cut pile. We encourage you to sample FLOR so you can see the colors, textures, and patterns in person. FLOR samples are available in 6" x 6" square tiles. Samples are priced US $2.00 each. FLOR can be installed in virtually any indoor area that has a clean, hard, dry surface. FLOR should NOT be installed over carpeting or padding*, floors with hand painted or vintage varnish finish, unfinished waxed floors or outdoors. FLOR may be installed over smooth, fully-cured (minimum of 90 days) concrete floors. If your room has an unfinished, waxed, vintage varnish, or solvent sealed floor we do not recommend installing FLOR, as FLOR may cause some discoloration or staining of the floor. If you're unsure if FLOR will work for your surface, call Customer Care at 866.952.4093. * FLOR has a firm, but flexible backing. Installation of FLOR over a soft subfloor or existing carpeting or rugs will cause the tiles to separate when weight is applied to the surface.

Verified Reply - FLORUpcycle is made up of 100% Solution Dyed Nylon. It is a sheared cut pile and will attract more lint on it than some other styles. You can also look at House Pet, Rush Street, Tweed Indeed, Rib Velvet, Level Setting, Milliner and Line, Please.

Verified Reply - FLORFLOR is not intended or recommended for installation outdoors. FLOR is not designed for changing environmental conditions. Fluctuating temperatures, humidity levels and exposure to UV light can all compromise the integrity of our tiles. FLOR does not offer any type of warranty for tiles exposed to the outdoor elements. We do have fire rating certificates for all of our products. You can request those through support@flor.com or by calling Customer Care at 866.952.4093.

Hey, I love the look of the green Upcycle, but I'm wondering if anyone has used them to replace the carpet that goes over the engine cover and on the floor under the captain's chairs in a motorhome?? Would love to know if they'll work for this, and if they're stiff or if they have some bend and flexibility to fold down along the sides of the cover. Thanks in advance!!
